Independent judgement for better investment decisions.

I help fund managers and investors test fund concepts, financing structures and investment proposals before key decisions are taken.

My experience combines an institutional investor’s perspective with fund structuring and board and investment committee responsibilities.

Your decision

When another perspective matters

A fund concept to test, a financing decision to examine or governance arrangements that need a closer look.

Before approaching investors

Does the fund concept hold together?

The investment thesis may be persuasive. Do the proposed fund size, operating costs and investor expectations support it? I help identify the gaps before the proposition goes to investors.

Before committing capital

Are the trade-offs understood?

I examine the assumptions behind an investment or financing structure, the allocation of risk and the contribution of catalytic capital — including where different objectives may pull in different directions.

As the fund evolves

Is governance keeping pace?

New investors or a more complex portfolio can expose gaps in reporting and decision-making. I help assess whether the board and committees have the information and authority they need.
